Information Technology: Introduction, Syllabus, Scope, Top colleges and placements

Introduction:

Information Technology commonly known as IT is also a branch in Engineering.This is a famous branch such that most of the Indians dream to join in IT company. IT plays a important role in our life. From your phone to satellites everything comes under IT.

It concentrates on the study of utilizing computers and telecommunications in order to control, gather, store and circulate information. Both software and hardware sectors are parts of Information Technology.

Scope and Career opportunities of Information Technology:

Though it is a new course, students enrolling in IT sector increases rapidly over few  years.

Those graduate who want to pursue their education further can continue their course in master’s level and can even pursue for doctorate after completing their masters degree. Apart from M.Tech the candidate can opt for Master of Business Administration (MBA) or Master of Computer Application (MCA). Those aspirants who want to study abroad can even opt for Master of Science (MS). Another option for the candidates is to go for M.Phil.

Career options after B.Tech in Information Technology are huge.  It is very fast-paced, and challenging. IT Specialists are required in almost all range of employment fields such as finance, arts, medicine, defense, and other areas. Many opportunities are available in various IT firms all over India. Some of the leading IT firms recruiting B.Tech in Information Technology are Infosys, TCS, Wipro, Accenture, HCL Infotech, IBM, etc. These professionals can get jobs in many public-sector firms. The public-sector firms recruit graduate trainees after conducting written test. Some of the leading public sector firms recruiting B.Tech in Information Technology graduates are BSNL, ISRO, CDIT, CDAC, etc.

The candidates can even try jobs in banking sector. All the leading public-sector banks conduct written test for graduates. Another option is teaching field. The candidates can easily get into any government or private college as professors or lecturers. Some institutions require post-graduation for teaching in Information Technology. B.Tech in Information & Technology graduates can even work in many research and development projects also.

Database Administration is a nice paying job if you have dealt with large amount of data and still can do so.

Graphic artists design every key element you see on banners or the apps of the biggies. You need race your creativity for that.

Cryptographers and security analysts high paying, lots of brain work.
